Edmonton Tower
The Edmonton Tower opened for business in the fall of 2016 and it is the home to about two thirds of the City of Edmonton’s downtown employees. At 27 storeys and over 600,000 square feet, this building is a creative new tower in the downtown.
Situated in the Ice District, The Tower offers excellent access to the heart of the city via 104 Avenue as well to the newly constructed MacEwan LRT station. The building also has pedway access to Rogers Place as well as Bell Tower to the south, which connects to the greater downtown core.
Probus Project Management was the lead through the Edmonton Tower’s RFP response that secured the City of Edmonton as the anchor tenant. We also worked closely with the City of Edmonton to gain necessary project approvals. This included negotiating setbacks, parkade access and all variances from CCA zoning. In addition to these accomplishments, the team led the construction procurement and selected the construction manager and all consultants for the project.
Edmonton Tower is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also highly functional. Designed to LEED Gold standards, it is sustainable, modern, practical and architecturally progressive. The building also has destination dispatch elevator technology to reduce wait times.
